MC for conference: Sheldon Sweeney

Sheldon’s experience in the Seattle Archdiocese has centered on men’s and young men’s spirituality as well as evangelization. After Sheldon’s RCIA program in California he and his wife Debbie moved to West Seattle. After two quick years living in Hawaii they moved back to Seattle where all five of their children have been born. Through St. Anthony’s parish in Renton Sheldon spent five years in door-to-door evangelization with the Legion of Mary. During this same time period Sheldon altar served and served as an acolyte meeting many of the young priests currently serving in our diocese during their pastoral year at St. Anthony’s. Sheldon spent ten years as an active Regnum Christi member and as served as President of the Maple Valley CONQUEST boys club. He assisted in summer camps as well as weekly spiritually formative club meetings for the boys ages 10-16. During the summers of 2007 and 2008 he facilitated Theology of the Body for Teens, boys aged 15-21. Sheldon helped organize and run the Catholic Professionals of Seattle from 2009-2013. Presently he is on the core team for Iron Sharpens Iron, serves on the Prayer Companions teams at St. Stephen the Martyr, active Knight of Columbus, and volunteers to assist with the finances on the State Pro-Life Conference Committee for the event in October of 2014.
